Hi friends, welcome to my weekend sewist blog 🙂
Here you will find my current sewing projects step-by-step (the way I sew, not necessarily following the instructions), as well as my musings on my other weekend and evening projects, my garden, my pets, and my Episcopalian faith. I live in the US, in Northern Alabama, zone 7b.
I have been sewing for the past 30+ years, since I was given a stash of patterns and magazines, a manual crank Singer and some fabric scraps from my auntie’s sewing business. Eventually, I took Martha Pullen’s heirloom sewing classes and a few couture sewing classes. I now have a library of sewing books and videos. I love French fashion and French heirloom sewing.

Enjoy my blog and happy sewing!
